Now that wheat beers, pale ales and IPAs have become mainstream, craft brew masters will attempt to expand our beer palates and challenge our taste buds with sour beer. Sours, as they are known, are brews that have intentionally been, well, soured by adding bacteria during fermentation.
These funky, extremely acidic beers vary in tartness and most likely will fall into the “love or hate” category. Look for them to show up as short pours with food pairings on tapas menus to get you acquainted.

I would like to try new spices like Za’atar. Not into meats, alcohol, or sugar of any kind (plain yogurt is ok). I’ll try to hunt down the Za’atar at my local international market. Thanks!
